Daniel 10

Daniel 10 – “Conflict of Nations and Heavenly Powers”

In Daniel chapter 10, we, with Daniel, see a vision that the apostle John might have recognised. Both Daniel and John saw things that ‘took their breath away’ and that no one else had ever seen, where Christ’s involvement is clearly evident.

I looked up and saw a man clothed in linen, with a belt of gold from Uphaz around his waist. His body was like beryl, his face like lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and the sound of his words like the roar of a multitude.”

Daniel 9, Part 2

Daniel chapter 9, Part 2 – “The Seventy Sevens”

It’s amazing what a prayer can release! Daniel’s prayer is heard in heaven and he finds out that he is “greatly beloved” by God and as a reward is given an important glimpse into the future.

‘Seventy weeks are decreed for your people and your holy city: to finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal both vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy place.”

Daniel 8

Daniel chapter 8 – “The Ram and The Male Goat”

The Ram and the Goat turn out to be other names for well-known nations – all will become clear!

“In the third year of the reign of King Belshazzar a vision appeared to me, Daniel, after the one that had appeared to me at first. In the vision I was looking and saw myself in Susa the capital, in the province of Elam, and I was by the river Ulai.  I looked up and saw a ram standing beside the river.”
